Project description:

My organization is looking for a developer to create an app to track meals eaten by participants and daily physical activity. My organization aims to curb the diabetes epidemic by aiding those at high risk for diabetes with lifestyle changes.  We need a phone-based app that users can use to take pictures of food eaten through-out the day with a search feature for calorie and fat content. Users will take the pictures using the app and search for matching nutritional info at a later convenient time. Basically, it will be a picture log that can be linked to nutritional information (Calorieking has an API).  We would like to capture exercise through pictures too and just attach time spent and the activity description. Maybe even add calories burned. The data should be uploaded to a main database for reporting.  This is a nonprofit organization with a small budget, so any help provided will be greatly appreciated. Tracking food and exercise is one of the hardest things for our participants to do. This app may make the job easier.
