LineHayat is a Listening Service designed to provide peer support for Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) students, completely free-of-charge. Sharers can call in or text us to have a Listening Volunteer listen and provide them with emotional support.
We need some help developing the chat system, which will allow students to have anonymous one-on-one conversations with listening volunteers, either by text or by voice call.
Our current codebase is written in React and Go, but it is quite buggy, so we need some help rewriting it. We’re using Node.js + socket.io for the back end and React + Next.js for the front end, and we’re looking for people who could help us with any of the following:
