I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign. I first became interested in computer science when my friend and I wrote a chess game during my sophomore year of high school. Getting that program to work and seeing that our “AI”(we didn’t use machine learning but we did write a brute force algorithm that looked two turns ahead and picked the best move according to a rating system) was able to beat other people created within me a passion for computer programming. Through out the rest of high school I continued to explore different avenues of computer science through various projects and through work on our high school robotics team. Currently I am the most interested in machine learning and I recently completed Andrew Ng’s Deep Learning Specialization on Coursera and have begun to read MIT’s Deep Learning Book. I also find back end design for websites to be enjoyable and interesting.
