My name is William Das, and I am a sophomore attending Hunter College High School in New York City. I am passionate about applying my programming skills to help the greater community and non profits. I recently co-founded a club at my school called Coding for Impact, which focuses on coding websites that help the community, as well as coding for non profits. We just deployed our first project called NYC Connector, which allows users to easily find and locate places near them where they can volunteer at, donate to, or find help at in NYC. These places include soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, clothing charities, homeless shelters, as well as medical centers. We especially focused on connecting fringe charities to the wider audience. Our focus on this project was creating a friendly and informative user interface. You can see the end product here: https://www.nycconnector.org. My team and I look forward to working on projects in the future!
