A quick overview of some web development projects I have worked or am working on:
https://warm-mesa-54600.herokuapp.com/ This is a simple instant chat room app built on NodeJS. The user simply has to enter a username, and then he instantly enters the chat room. If there are two users online, for example, one can type in a message, and the other will see it and respond. The system will also display a status if one person is typing.
https://frozen-coast-37199.herokuapp.com/ This is another Ruby on Rails project. It’s an ecommerce store which has basic features like product listings, product search, checkout, user signup. Stripe is used for payment processing, and Ajax is used to make loading more efficiently in the comment section.
https://quynhyenblog.herokuapp.com/ . This is the project I’m currently working on. The goal is to build a CMS like WordPress using Ruby on Rails and React. The blog is deployed to Heroku, and currently has the login and signup function working. I also changed Rails default ID used in url to a pretty url using post title, and implemented a WYSIWYG editor for writing posts, with the ability to upload photos. Only admin can create, edit or delete posts. I plan to implement functions like social media authentication, commenting, liking, and editing profile for normal users. I will also build some sidebar sections to fetch datas from other sites’ API.
