I have an Excel spreadsheet with about 131,000+ ancestral names from my non-profit genealogy organization. Our family tree software program created the report but the name column has been generated with people who have both first and last names and also just first names. I want to move all the first names to a separate column. The column will look like this:
Jones, Jane
Janet
Smith, Karen
Julia
Since there isn’t always a comma, I need help creating a formula that would put all the first names into a first name column.
Once I get the spreadsheet correct, I will upload it into an Access Database.
