Project description:

I volunteer with an wildlife conservation non-profit and I am interested in creating a virtual pen pal program that will connect anti-poaching rangers in Africa and Asia (and potentially beyond) with seniors and students around the world. Mental health and morale is something rarely discussed among the rangers and one ranger suggested a pen pal program would go a long way. Security is crucial for the rangers’ safety.  Instead of blasting the program via social media, etc., we will conduct outreach to classrooms, senior centers, etc to introduce the program and find interested pen pals.  We want this to be secure for the civilians as well.  Encrypted messages, alias emails, etc.  I know enough front-end development to be dangerous, so I can at least speak the coder’s language and hopefully be useful from a project mgmt perspective, but this is something beyond my coding skillset.  I can also assist with UI design.  I just can’t do the heavy lifting on the backend.  I’m not a micro-manager, I promise!  I know what I don’t know.  Thanks for your consideration!
