Hello all, 

I recently had the idea of repurposing an unfinished supply chain procurement platform that I co-founded with a friend (originally tailored to biotech industry) towards Covid relief. Since there are numerous supply chain ruptures hindering the production of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the nation, and since this platform of ours is sitting around collecting virtual dust, I figured it could serve a greater purpose in this moment of need by providing a hub of connection for buyers and suppliers of PPE, mending the gaps in production and helping diversify supply chains. Simply put, we would help companies who are producing PPE find the materials they need by connecting them with suppliers, allowing them to efficiently source the components. 

Currently, there is an absence of any central resources for private companies to find out what’s most needed, and many have resorted to researching online or cold-calling institutions. This platform would allow them to diversify and transform supply chains for PPE, eliminate middle man costs, and add transparency to the market. 

I would say the platform is about 60% finished, so it still requires substantial work, but the general structure is there. More back-end and maybe a few front-end developers are needed. Anyone who has substantial supply chain knowledge is welcome. Any suggestions or helping hands are welcome.
